Outline for Mongol Essay
Remember, we are not actually writing an essay…we are not even writing a paragraph. We are simply organizing our ideas into an outline based on the following questions/format:
- Thesis: Were the Mongols savage barbarians, or an advanced civilization? (choose one side only)
- Body IP 1: Topic Sentence: What is one reason that the Mongols are savage/advanced?
- Concrete Detail: one piece of specific evidence from the documents that proves the reason you stated in your topic sentence.
- Cite your source (with just the letter of the document)
- Concrete Detail: a second piece of evidence from the documents that proves the reason you stated in your TS
- Cite your source (letter of document)
- Body IP 2: Topic Sentence: What is a second reason that the Mongols are savage/advanced?
- Concrete Detail: one piece of specific evidence
- Citation
- Concrete Detail: another piece of specific evidence
