Monday

• Unit 1, Journal 12
• There are eight slices of apple pie...there are four people in the room.  How should we decide who gets the slices of pie?  Are there any other "methods" we could use?  Which would be the most "fair"?  What if I told you that one of the people in the room is a one-year-old who doesn't eat solid food...does that change anything? 
• Brainstorm and demonstrate resource allocation methods or rationing methods using chocolate!...because everything is scarce
• HW= Study for test on unit 1 - chapters one and two and the seven principles (Thursday, 9-30), work on Budget project (due 10-7)

Tuesday

• Fill in Resource Allocation chart from yesterday
• Unit 1, Journal 13
•  You are a policy maker in a small country and you have one million dollars to spend on either armed forces to protect your nation or on goods which will grow your economy.  How would you choose to spend the money?  Justify your answer.
• Economic Goals Ranking - individual
• HW= Study for test, Thursday...first try at one column of budget project due Thursday

• Apply goals to policy decisions
• HW = study for test

• Turn in Journals
